The Proper Way to Eliminate Your Future Shock

Owners of Specialized bikes equipped with Future Shock suspension may wish to eliminate the suspension cartridge due to degradation of the original cartridge or a desire to reduce the bike's weight. The FSD Kit (available in the web store) is an engineered and tested rigid insert meant to eliminate the future shock cartridge and retain a completely factory look.

It's 142 grams lighter than the Future Shock 1.5 and 185 grams lighter than the Future Shock 2.0. Check out the video below for more information.

How do I know which version of future shock I have.

It has a dial on the top so I guess it is 2.0 or 3.?

Hi, I want to lower my stem, but looking at your FutureShock replacement it looks like it gets wider at the headset end, can I cut it down or will that not be possible?

It should be ok because the mount is slotted to allow for some sliding up and down.
